Cargo ship catches fire in Denmark

While the general cargo ship Ann Rousing was loading scrap on 13 October in Amager, Copenhagen, Denmark, a severe fire broke out in the cargo hold.

According to Maritime Bulletin, firefighters managed to control the fire, but they had to be careful not to dump too much water into the ship, fearing stability loss. The ship was surrounded by floating booms, and no leaks had been detected at the time.

The general cargo ship Ann Rousing was built in 1991, is sailing under the Danish flag and is managed by Danish company Maritim Supply ApS, according to Maritime Bulletin.
