
The Port of Nanaimo has announced Captain Edward S. Dahlgren, CMMC, MNI, as its new Vice President of Marine Operations and Harbour Master. In this expanded role, Captain Dahlgren will oversee all marine operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, security, and environmental protection for shipping and local communities.
Captain Dahlgren brings over 40 years of maritime experience, including leadership positions with the Canadian Coast Guard, BC Ferries, and most recently as Detachment Superintendent and Deputy Queen’s Harbour Master with the Royal Canadian Navy’s Auxiliary Fleet at CFMETR.
“We are very pleased that Captain Dahlgren has chosen to bring his extensive knowledge and leadership to our team,” said Ian Marr, President and CEO of the Port of Nanaimo.
