Capital Clean Energy Carriers has agreed to sell the 13,300 TEU Manzanillo Express for an expected book gain of US$ 6.9 million, with delivery scheduled in the third quarter of 2025. According to Dynaliners, the sale will leave the shipowner with just two vessels of the same size, both currently on long-term charter until 2033, with options to extend to 2039.
The transaction underscores Capital Clean Energy’s strategic shift away from the container segment. Formerly known as Capital Product Partners, the company is refocusing its business on the (multi) gas carrier sector.
The buyer of the Manzanillo Express has not been disclosed.
