CakeBoxx Technologies launches FlexBoxx™

CakeBoxx Technologies, a sustainable transport and storage solution provider, will introduce its latest innovation: the Flexible Loading Enhanced Container System, or FlexBoxx™.

This new container solution is engineered for transporting steel coils and other heavy-duty materials, building on the success of the original CoilBoxx™, which was launched in 2019. FlexBoxx™ offers flexibility and user-friendly features for a range of industrial applications.

Available in both 20ft and 40ft versions, the 20ft FlexBoxx™ features a waterproof, sliding tarpaulin system and adjustable cradles, designed to hold steel coils with diameters from 900mm to 2100mm and up to 2000mm in width, as well as other heavy-duty products.

Also, the tarpaulin system opens from either end, simplifying loading and unloading. With a tare weight of 4,700 kg (10,360 lbs) and a payload capacity of 29,300 kg (64,600 lbs), FlexBoxx™ is optimized for the rigorous demands of intermodal transport across marine, rail, and road networks.

FlexBoxx™ was developed to meet the growing demand for a flexible, efficient coil transport solution that adapts to various cargo types and sizes. Its innovative clamping system can be adjusted by a single operator to secure cargo from either side of the container.

Additionally, FlexBoxx™’s modular design, featuring removable cradles, allows it to transport diverse goods, opening up new possibilities for industries beyond the metals sector.

“We recognized the need for a container that could adapt to a variety of transportation scenarios while maintaining the robust, secure design that customers expect from CakeBoxx. “The FlexBoxx™ is our answer to that need, combining flexibility, safety, and durability in a single, user-friendly package,” stated Daine Eisold, CEO at CakeBoxx Technologies.
