Boluda Shipping has inaugurated a new berth at its Santander Maritime Terminal, enabling the simultaneous operation of two container vessels. The investment is expected to cut transit times by up to seven days on routes linking Northern Europe, Cádiz, the Canary Islands, Cape Verde and Senegal, while creating new business opportunities for Cantabria and Castilla y León.
“This investment represents a significant step forward in the efficiency and optimisation of our intermodal logistics services, guaranteeing the operational window of regular container services and ensuring port operability,” said Ignacio Boluda, President of Boluda Shipping.
The terminal expects to exceed 150,000 TEUs in 2025, reinforcing Santander’s role as a competitive and sustainable logistics hub.
