BAL Container Line parent, Namsung go for newbuildings

BAL Container Line, said in a Hong Kong Stock Exchange filing that it has commissioned an 11,000 TEU pair at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding.

LC Logistics, the holding company of BAL Container Line, said in a Hong Kong Stock Exchange filing on 27 February that it has commissioned an 11,000 TEU pair at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding for US$236 million.

Shipping lines continue to invest in newbuilding tonnage even as the Middle East conflict has revived interest in building oil tankers.
