Aviator Airport Alliance has signed a multi-year agreement with Tunisian airline Nouvelair for full ground handling services at Helsinki Airport. The contract marks the first partnership between the two companies and came into effect on October 27.
The Finnish Aviator team will provide passenger services, ramp handling and de-icing. Nouvelair currently operates weekly charter flights between Helsinki and Monastir on Tunisia’s coast.
Kimmo Holopainen, Managing Director of Aviator Airport Services Finland, said the partnership strengthens Aviator’s presence in Helsinki and underlined the company’s focus on safe, reliable and efficient operations for the airline.
Nouvelair CEO Zarrad Chokri said Finland is becoming an important market for the carrier, driven by growing interest among Finnish travellers in Tunisia. He added that Aviator’s experience will support the airline’s expansion in the region.
Founded in 1989, Nouvelair is Tunisia’s second-largest airline. It operates Airbus A320 and A320neo aircraft and serves routes between Europe and Tunisia from bases in Tunis, Djerba and Monastir.
