
APM Terminals has become a 49% minority shareholder in the Hateco Hai Phong International Container Terminal (HHIT). It also joins as the operating partner.
The terminal went from greenfield to full operations in three years. It now handles vessels up to 18,000 TEU.
HHIT is the largest deep-water port in North Vietnam. It has two new berths in Lach Huyen, Hai Phong City. Its strategic location supports direct trade with Europe, the U.S., and northern Vietnam.

APM Terminals shared best practices on safety, port automation, AI, process optimization, and decarbonization. HHIT also joined the Gemini Cooperation, the new East-West network run by Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd.
