APM Terminals Buenos Aires appoints new managing director

Manuel Delgado has assumed the position of managing director at APM Terminals Buenos Aires T4 in Argentina starting from 1 April 2024, following his tenure as deputy managing director since July 2023.

Additionally, he will become a part of the Leadership Team for the Americas region.

With over 25 years of leadership experience in banking, capital markets, corporate finance, and mergers & acquisitions in Peru and New York, Manuel Delgado brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. Before joining APM Terminals Buenos Aires, he served as the Chief Financial Officer at APM Terminals Callao for nine years.

“Together with the team in Buenos Aires we will continue to focus on lifting service reliability and efficiency whilst accelerating growth and leveraging the ongoing incorporation of the neighbouring T5 terminal,” stated Delgado.

During his tenure at APM Terminals Callao, Delgado played a crucial role in negotiating an addendum to the concession agreement, resulting in an approximate investment of US$1.2 billion to revamp the terminal layout to better accommodate the increasing demand for container and general cargo in Peru.

“Together with the team in Buenos Aires we will continue to focus on lifting service reliability and efficiency whilst accelerating growth and leveraging the ongoing incorporation of the neighbouring T5 terminal,” added Manuel Delgado.

According to a statement, Silvia Iglesias is highly regarded in the Argentine business community and will now focus on her role as Chairwoman of T4’s Board, with an emphasis on long-term business sustainability and stakeholder management with the government in Argentina, supporting both APM Terminals and Maersk in the country.
