Inmarsat Maritime, part of Viasat, has confirmed that Anglo-Eastern will roll out its NexusWave connectivity solution across the Hadley Shipping Group fleet under its management.
Hadley Shipping, a long-time Inmarsat customer, will now move to the multi-orbit, fully managed NexusWave platform. The upgrade is designed to deliver faster speeds, stronger cybersecurity, and a scalable digital backbone for future fleet needs.
Anglo-Eastern has been advancing its multi-orbit connectivity strategy since 2023. By adopting NexusWave, the ship manager says it is strengthening its push for digital transformation, cyber resilience, and improved internet access for crews at sea.
Torbjorn Dimblad, Chief Information Officer at Anglo-Eastern, said the solution “aligns with our vision of a digitally advanced fleet” and highlighted the benefits of its secure, integrated approach.
Hadley Shipping also emphasized the broader value of the investment. “Unlimited data is a key benefit, but this goes beyond bandwidth,” said Sunit Das, the group’s Director of Operations. He noted that the upgrade will support long-term goals for efficiency and crew welfare, while meeting rising data demands with built-in cybersecurity.
Inmarsat said NexusWave combines bonded networks with global coverage to support smart vessel operations and welfare programmes.
“This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to smarter, safer, more connected operations at sea,” said Gert Jan Panken, Global Vice President at Inmarsat Maritime.
