Akkon Lines is set to introduce a new regional service connecting Turkey with key Black Sea ports, further expanding its short-sea network in the region.
The new Bulgaria Shuttle Service (BSS) is scheduled to launch later this month and will provide regular connections between Turkish ports and destinations in Bulgaria and Romania, according to DynaLiners.
The service will operate with a single vessel of approximately 350 TEU capacity, offering a direct loop designed to support regional trade and feeder connectivity across the Black Sea.
Under the announced rotation, the Bulgaria Shuttle Service will call at Gemlik, Izmit (Gebze), Varna, Burgas, Constanta and return to Gemlik.
The launch of the new route reflects Akkon Lines’ strategy to strengthen its presence in the Black Sea market and provide additional shipping options for cargo moving between Turkey and Southeast Europe.
