Hong Kong-based regional container carrier TS Lines has returned to China’s CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding for more newbuildings.

In a Hong Kong Stock Exchange filing on 7 August, TS Lines stated that it had commissioned four 5,300 TEU ships at Wenchong, for US$245.12 million, for delivery in the second half of 2028. The company said in the same announcement that these two ships will be upsized to 5,300 TEU, with delivery expected in mid-2028.

Last September, TS Lines had ordered a 4,300 TEU pair at the same shipbuilder, for US$121.2 million, in early 2028.
