AD Ports Group and KTZ Express, the logistics subsidiary of Kazakhstan Railways, have officially launched operations of their Central Asian joint venture, GulfLink Ltd. The venture, owned 51% by AD Ports Group and 49% by KTZ Express, aims to enhance multimodal logistics and transform trade routes across Central Asia, linking markets in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
“We are pleased to announce the commencement of operations for our GulfLink joint venture… a key link in our strategy to upgrade the Middle Corridor route through Central Asia into a major, commercial East-West trade artery,” said Abdulaziz Zayed AlShamsi, Regional CEO, AD Ports Group.
GulfLink is designed to strengthen Kazakhstan’s role in global logistics by leveraging KTZ’s extensive 16,000 km rail network and AD Ports Group’s global assets.
It will support international transport corridors, including links through Pakistan, Türkiye, the Arabian Gulf, and the Indian subcontinent.
“GulfLink will provide a new level of unique, end-to-end connectivity for Kazakhstan regionally and globally,” said Damir Kozhakhmetov, General Director and Chairman of KTZ Express.
Kamal Huseynov, CEO of GulfLink, added: “We will bring value added to customers through our relationships, the logistics resources of our shareholders, and our commitment to efficiency, innovation, seamless supply chains and optimised trade.”
