Tragic accident aboard a container vessel at the Port of New York and New Jersey

A harbor pilot died in an accident aboard a container ship after falling from a ladder, according to authorities. The tragic incident happened on Monday around 4:30 p.m.

Authorities say that Sandy Hook Pilot Captain fell from the ladder as he boarded a box vessel inbound to the Port of New York and New Jersey.
