Abundance Solar Panel to build US$15M solar plant in KEZAD

Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) Group, the largest operator of integrated economic zones, and UAE-based Abundance Solar Panels Industries have announced a 50-year land lease agreement for a new solar panel plant in KEZAD Area A – Al Ma’mourah.

With a planned investment of US$15 million, the facility will produce solar panels and photovoltaic modules for businesses aiming to adopt energy-efficient solutions. Covering 27,000 square meters, the plant marks a significant milestone for KEZAD in advancing new energy projects.

“We welcome the establishment of Abundance’s solar panel plant. The project aligns with our leadership’s vision for innovation in sustainable economic development as well as KEZAD Group’s goals of driving industrial development responsibly and sustainably in the emirate of Abu Dhabi,” stated Mohamed Al Khadar Al Ahmed, CEO, of Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – KEZAD Group.

This initiative supports AD Ports Group’s strategic vision to promote renewable energy and advance the UAE’s green agenda toward net-zero emissions.

The plant will incorporate cutting-edge solar technology and operate within a sustainable framework, aligning with KEZAD Group’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

Encouraged by the vision of UAE’s leadership to drive innovation and excellence in sustainable manufacturing, we are setting up a fully automatic plant for solar panels manufacturing to offer our humble contribution to Abu Dhabi’s green future,” commented Sunil Madhok, Founder of Abundance Solar Panels Industries.

According to a statement, solar panels harness solar energy to produce power and support the development of eco-friendly energy systems. Central to KEZAD Group’s industrial strategy is the creation of a hub for green technologies and sustainable business practices. The new solar panel plant embodies this vision, advancing energy security and marking a significant stride in shaping Abu Dhabi’s energy future.
