ABS Wavesight™, the maritime Software-as-a-Service company affiliated with ABS, has appointed Captain Stephen (Steve) Bomgardner as its new Chief Customer Officer.
Bomgardner brings more than two decades of maritime leadership experience, spanning operations, compliance, and environmental innovation. He most recently served as Vice President of Shipping & Offshore Solutions at Pole Star Global, where he helped drive growth and integrated advanced vessel analytics into tracking platforms.

Bomgardner’s career includes senior roles at the Bahamas Maritime Authority and the Liberian International Ship & Corporate Registry, where he established the Offshore & Gas Technology Department. Earlier, he spent 15 years in offshore drilling operations aboard some of the industry’s most advanced vessels.
In his new role, Bomgardner will lead ABS Wavesight’s customer success strategy, focusing on engagement, retention, and delivering measurable value.
