Associated British Ports has announced senior appointments within its commercial leadership team, designed to sharpen its customer focus and drive growth across its Humber and Wales & Short Sea Ports business regions.
Lex Hanham has been appointed Head of Commercial for WSSP, where she will lead the commercial team responsible for delivery across 16 of ABP’s 21 ports.
She succeeds Paul Litten, who has been named Head of Commercial for ABP’s Humber region, home to four ports that together form the UK’s largest gateway for global trade by volume.
Paul brings nearly a decade of experience with ABP and a career built around commercial and customer service excellence.
Litten commented that these ports are the UK leader in capacity and capabilities, making them the number one choice for regional and national customers.
Lex Hanham has more than 17 years of maritime experience in property, project management, and commercial development, with recent work focused on advancing ABP’s role in the UK’s clean energy transition. Previously, she held senior roles in Southampton, working with customers in dry bulks, automotive, containerised freight, rail, and other key sectors.
Julian Walker, ABP’s Chief Commercial Officer and Regional Director for WSSP, congratulated both executives on their appointments saying that with their expertise, ABP is positioned to deliver sustainable economic growth and to ensure our ports remain the ports of choice for customers.
The appointments underscore ABP’s continued commitment to customer-driven growth and innovation, ensuring its ports remain central to both trade and the UK’s shift toward a sustainable future.
