2M Alliance to adjust Asia-Europe services programme

2M Alliance has decided to adjust the sailing programme of its Asia-Europe network in order to manage the recent challenging situation of severe port congestions globally.

The largest container alliance in the world, comprised by Maersk and Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), has changed the voyages numbers of the following Far East Asia to North Europe services:

Week Service First Impacted Vessel Original Voyage number New Voyage number Ningbo ETD
27
AE6/LION
MSC DEILA
125W
127W
10 July
32
AE10/SILK
MADISON MAERSK
130W
131W
12 August

“This situation is driven by a combination of rapidly increased demand and measures to fight the pandemic across ports and supply chains in general,” said Maersk in its announcement and pointed out that these accumulated delays are currently causing gaps with the line-up and resulted in several Asia departures been spread apart by more than seven days.
