2M Alliance omits Hamburg on its Asia-Europe service

High yard density and long waiting time in the Port of Hamburg have forced 2M Alliance to omit the call on the major German port on its AE7/Condor service, which is included in its Far East Asia to North Europe network.

Maersk, which with Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) comprises the largest container alliance in the world, 2M Alliance, has announced that the decision for Hamburg port omissions will be effective for the following voyages, while the alliance will divert the discharge moves on these voyages into Bremerhaven NTB.

“We aim to minimise the impact to our customers by securing alternative routings as per below,” said the Danish alliance partner in its announcement.
