Port of Valencia improves operability of hauliers

The Port of Valencia has educated 2,592 hauliers working in the Valencian area with the ValenciaportPCS App for mobile devices.

ValenciaportPCS is one of the first technological platforms or Port Community Systems in the world.

This tool is used by approximately 1,100 firms and public agencies in the ports of Valencia, Sagunto, and Gandia in Spain. Every day, it handles more than 300,000 messages.

Valencia Port Authority stated that this training has been carried out by ValenciaportPCS technicians at the entrance and exit of the container terminals of COSCO, APM Terminals and MSC, and in the transport support areas of the Port of Valencia.

According to Valencia Port, the goal is to promote the use of this application, to actively listen to truck professionals, to improve the operability of the transportation chain, to promote environmental sustainability and to reduce the number of issues that drivers may face when visiting the site.
