Maersk announces additional void sailings

In connection with the reduced demand in the months of October and November, Maersk has endeavoured to balance its network to match reduced demand.

Maersk has previously announced temporary suspension of the AE2 service from week 39 until mid-November, which it has now made the decision to extend the temporary suspension to end-November in wk 47.

Alternative coverage for AE2 suspension.

  • Rotterdam:Covered on AE5 and AE7 service
  • Felixstowe:Covered on AE1 and AE11 (pre-carriage) service
  • Antwerp:Covered on AE6 and AE10 (additional call during suspension period) service

Alternative coverages for North Europe to Asia will be communicated separately.

Maersk will also adjust its network to match expected market demand in the next several weeks. Below you will find a summary of void sailing(s). “We’ve arranged alternative routings wherever possible to minimize the impact to your cargoes,” Maersk says.
