Maersk announces several blank sailings

In line with the temporary reduction in market demand, Maersk will be making adjustments to the Yoyo Service by introducing a blanking program ex Kaohsiung, effective 27th March 2019 till July 2019. To maintain service continuity during this period, Maersk will accommodate your volume on the below three services:

Service 1:
XIAMEN – SHEKOU – HONG KONG – SYDNEY – MELBOURNE – BRISBANE – XIAMEN
First sailing: ETD Xiamen 22nd March 2019

Service 2:
KAOSHIUNG – XIAMEN – NINGBO – SHANGHAI – NINGBO – SYDNEY – MELBOURNE – BRISBANE – KAOSHIUNG
First sailing: ETD Kaoshiung 29th March 2019

Service 3:
NINGBO – SHANGHAI – YANTIAN – SYDNEY – MELBOURNE – BRISBANE – NINGBO
First sailing: ETD Yantian 28th March 2019

“We will be working closely with customers to minimise any business impact as a result of these temporary adjustments,” Maersk says in its press release.

The Boomerang and Southern Star network remains unchanged and will continue through this period

Furthermore, Maersk has endeavored to balance its network from Far East Asia to the US East Coast. “Our ZIM DJIBOUTI vessel will blank position on TP10 effective from first load port April 4th in Xingang,” Danish giant says.
