APL’s Eagle GO Guaranteed extends

APL yesterday (10/8/2018) announced the extension of Eagle GO Guaranteed for US-bound containers originating from all ports in Asia and the Middle East. In addition to direct loading ports on the Trans-Pacific services, the extension now includes non-direct loading ports in Asia and Middle East. Eagle GO Guaranteed cargoes from these non-direct loading ports will be assured of equipment at the origin and vessel space onboard the first leg, as they en-route to the trans-shipment hubs for priority shipping to the US and Canada.

"The extension of our Eagle GO Guaranteed service from 29 main Asian load ports to some 150 ports across Asia and the Middle East cannot be more timely. This Trans-Pacific trading season is heading on at full steam with high shipment volumes from Asia to the US. Shippers who opt for our Eagle GO Guaranteed offering will have no concerns of equipment and vessel space shortages and can get their urgent cargoes going for sure." said Jesper Stenbak, APL Senior Vice President of Trans-Pacific Trade.

The expanded product is now also going to Bangladesh, Cambodia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and The Philippines in Asia; as well as Russia, Djibouti, Jordan, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt and United Arab Emirates in the Middle East. They join the direct loading ports from China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, Korea and more where Eagle GO Guaranteed was made available earlier.

Stenbak elaborated, "APL's Eagle GO Guaranteed service has seen strong demand from customers who want zero disruption in their supply chain. Unlike the traditional peak, the current trading season on the Trans-Pacific has been exacerbated by advanced shipments to the US. To help shippers manage capacity shortage in the market, this pay-on-demand offering will bring them certainty in their supply chain."

Bookings for the enhanced Eagle GO Guaranteed will debut on 15 October 2018.

APL's Eagle GO Guaranteed, together with Eagle GET Guaranteed and Eagle REACH Guaranteed services, forms APL's suite of Eagle Guaranteed services that are backed by a money-back guarantee.

APL's Eagle GET Guaranteed service assures an expeditious discharge of cargo on board the EX1, SC1 and PE1 services at the Eagle Marine Services (EMS) terminal in Los Angeles. Eagle GET Guaranteed shipments are discharged within 12 hours of commencement of vessel cargo operations and available on chassis.

APL's Eagle REACH Guaranteed promises day-definite arrival of containers on the EX1 service from the EMS terminal to rail yards in Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, El Paso, Kansas City and Memphis.
