2M Alliance removes Seattle from Eagle/TP1 service

2M Alliance, the world’s largest container shipping alliance, has decided to temporarily omit Seattle call on its Eagle/TP1 service, until further notice.

The alliance partners, Maersk and MSC, explained that the revision on the service, which starts on week 43 of the year (25-31 October) with the 5,610TEU Akinada Bridge, voyage 5N, is due to the increased waiting time for vessel berthing at the port of Seattle.

“We apologise for any disruption to your cargo shipments,” said MSC in its statement.

The Swiss shipping line added that it “continues to monitor and implement necessary measures to minimise disruptions in a globally challenging market.”
