Rate Announcement- Indian sub-continent to Far East

As we strive to continue to offer you a broad portfolio of services, we are announcing an increase in FAK rates (Freight All Kind). Below are the FAK rates for a sample list of corridors, commodities and container types where the rate increase is effective. As always, please visit my.safmarine.com for a quote, or your rate sheets or contracts will provide you with full details of rate increases.

  • The above rates are inclusive of Basic Freight Rate (BAS) and Bunker Adjustment Factor (SBF).
  • The above rates are subject to Terminal Handling Charge (THC) and Peak Season Surcharge (PSS). Detailed levels of THC and PSS can be found here.
  • The above rates are also subject to other applicable surcharges.
  • Other corridors, commodities and container types (including reefers) that are not listed above may also be subject to increases.
  • These rates are unaffected by, and do not affect, any tariff notified, published or filed in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
  • For trades subject to the US Shipping Act or the China Maritime Regulations, quotations or surcharges that vary from the Safmarine tariff shall not be binding on Safmarine unless included in a service contract or service contract amendment that has been filed with the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) or the Shanghai Shipping Exchange, as applicable.

 

Hamburg Süd

Rate Restoration – North East Asia – Australia

In order to maintain a high standard of service to our clients. Hamburg Süd will implement a “General Rate Increase” (GRI) effective Mai 1st, 2017 from Hong Kong, Korea, China and Taiwan to Australia as follows:

USD 300.00 per 20′ container

USD 600,00 per 40′ container

The GRI is applicable for all cargo with a Bill of Lading date as from May 1st, 2017

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company announce the following freight rates as from April 1st, 2017 until further notice but not beyond April 30th, 2017

  • The above Rates are inclusive of the Base Rate (i.e. ocean freight rate), Piracy Risk Surcharge (PRS), Bunker Contribution (BUC), Emission Control Areas (ECA) and Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) if any.

  • MSC Agencies’ standard terms and conditions apply including MSC’s standard Bill of Lading, see https://www.msc.com/aus/contract-of-carriage. Unless otherwise specified on MSC agencies’ standard terms and conditions, MSC shall allow 3 days’ free time to collect and return the container.
