Hapag-Lloyd will further expand its Asia – Middle East service network by introducing a dedicated service connecting East Asia with the Red Sea.
Effective April 2018, seven vessels will be deployed in the newly established Asia Red Sea Service (AR1)with following ports of call:
Busan – Shanghai – Ningbo – Shekou – Singapore – Port Kelang – Jeddah – Sokhna – Aqaba – Jeddah – Singapore – Ningbo – Busan
At Jeddah, the AR1 will also serve as connection between East Asia and Hapag-Lloyd’s just commenced EAS Service plying between Jeddah and the East African ports of Dar es Salaam and Mombasa.
In parallel the AR1 will also serve Hapag-Lloyd customers in other markets as a direct shuttle between the ports of Jeddah, Aqaba/Jordan and Sokhna/Egypt.
